WARD THE HOLDER? Right now, the two punters on the roster — Paul Ernster and Mitch Berger — are holding for Jeff Reed’s extra point and field goal attempts.
But only one of them will make the final roster. So with that in mind, who is the backup holder in the event of an emergency?
“If I had to pick, I’d pick Hines,†Reed said of Hines Ward, the good-hands wide receiver.
Tomlin agreed: “We’ve got a secret weapon— his name’s Hines Ward.â€
Re: Hines the Holder
Well, Hines got a QB pedigree and a nose for the end zone. I don't see this being too risky and it will make defenses think about whether or not a fake is possible.
Go Hines!
Go Hines!

AND GOOD HANDS.
Wouldn't mind seeing Dixon tried out as a holder also.

Oooooo, the possibilities this "secret weapon" could have. Muahahaha! I like it!

Re: Hines the Holder
Oh, but it's so RISKY! Not.
I like having the best players on the field whenever possible.
